About James
James looks after our social lending team, spanning our work including Social Banks, Blended Finance, and Charity Bonds. He is also actively involved in shaping and building out our practice looking at investing for systems change, and how we can learn from the best of what others are doing in this area. Previously he led on our Places strategy, looking at ways social investment can play a role to make places which provide opportunities for the people who live there.
He joined us in May 2014, and before Big Society Capital James spent three years as a Management Consultant in Financial Institutions at Accenture. He has also worked for a church and Christian social justice charity in central London.
When not at work, James will probably be on a bike somewhere, or exploring the outdoors with his young family - or both! He is a trustee of the media literacy charity, The Student View.
