We recognise the importance of partnership and of ensuring that user insight and lived experience are embedded in our design and development processes. The Solutions Collective is an initiative to support the growth of the social lending market in the UK.
Join the conversation on social lending
We are hosting a series of virtual roundtables to help guide the overall approach to social lending across policy, investment, and enterprise. Our aim is to open the floor to a range of topics, including but not limited to the following discussions:
- Flexible finance and revenue participation – how does this work in practice?
- Shariah powered lending: is it a key to unlocking investment for diverse communities?
Through these conversations we hope to build a better understanding of the gaps, priorities and wider ecosystem that supports social lending. By listening and learning, we hope to help deliver a range of solutions to help improve the existing market offering.
Previous sessions include:
- Guarantees - how can we use government backed guarantees to support more social lending?
- Catalytic capital - can it enable truly innovative social investment?
- Tax - what role can tax relief play in facilitating social lending? Slides from session here.
Shariah Powered Lending: is it a key to unlocking investment for diverse communities?
Wednesday 15 March 2023, 14.00 – 16.00
In the fourth Solutions Collective event we delve into the practical application and opportunities of Shariah Compliant Investment. How does it differ from other forms of social investment and could faith-based lending hold the key to unlocking finance for diverse communities? In this session, hear from a range of speakers who'll share their insights and real life examples, plus take part in a discussion to share your views and learnings.
More information on speakers and key discussion points will be available in early 2023.
