Mauricio is the lead for the Blended Finance practice, which aims to share lessons from Big Society Capital’s Investments in blended finance structures, work on establishing a community of practice, pursue fund and product development opportunities and work with relevant stakeholders to attract new sources of both concessional and non-concessional capital.

Mauricio’s role includes being Investment Delivery Lead ensuring quality delivery of BSC's investment activity across Market Systems, being a voting representative in the Investment Committees for Arts Culture Impact Fund and City Fund, being an observer representative in the Investment Committees for Club Capital, Resonance Community Developers Fund and Growth Impact Fund and overseeing the social banks portfolio.

Mauricio also leads on the Energy Resilience Fund, a blended finance initiative to help social enterprises and charities reduce their energy costs.

Previously he was Investment Manager at AlphaMundi Group, Commercial Projects Advisor at Christian Aid, Pipeline and Portfolio Manager for LAC and AME at ACRE and Senior Associate, London Top Tier Department, at PwC. Mauricio has experience in emerging markets in Latin America, Africa and India, and a strong track record in innovation and project delivery as well as taking new initiatives off the ground.

Mauricio was also COO and Co-founder at Theatre Delicatessen, a social enterprise utilising disused buildings in London’s Theatre District (West End) to host widely acclaimed theatre shows.
