About Gabriel
Gabriel has a hybrid role at Big Society Capital focusing on impact measurement and management, as well as portfolio management and investment analysis.
Prior to joining Big Society Capital, Gabriel spent five years at Shearman & Sterling working as a corporate tax solicitor. He has also had fellowships or worked on projects with Microsoft’s Human Rights team, the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law, NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights, Concern Worldwide US and World Food Programme Malawi.
Gabriel holds an MA from the University of Cambridge and a dual MBA/MPA from New York University. Whilst completing the latter, he oversaw the inaugural investment of the NYU Impact Investing Fund as Student Advisory Board President and received the NYU Stern School of Business Impact Award for academic and extracurricular achievement in social innovation and impact.
Gabriel is a trustee for Professors Without Borders, an educational charity focused on ending the higher education gap by pairing volunteer lecturers and universities in developing countries to run summer schools for students and for Global Dialogue, a fiscal host for human rights initiatives and a platform for collaboration between funders.
