Dougie is Managing Director of Impact Venture at Big Society Capital. He leads Big Society Capital’s venture investment programme, seeking to shape an ecosystem that can nurture and scale innovative ways of tackling social problems - by backing venture funds that invest in impactful startups, pushing the boundaries of impact practice in venture, and collaborating with others to amplify their work in the space.
Previously, Dougie was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. During his time at BCG, he founded an initiative providing pro bono consulting to charities, social enterprises, and purpose-led startups at Board and CEO level.
Dougie has been a trustee or adviser to a number of social enterprises and charities. He holds a degree from the University of Oxford in History and Economics.
