About Claire
Claire joined Big Society Capital in 2015 and is responsible for developing and managing a network of experts, organisations and resources that support Big Society Capital and our fund managers achieve their strategic objectives of scaling social investment.
Claire spent seven years as a Director for Social Ventures Australia where she was responsible for social enterprise grant and mixed investment funds, overseeing the social venture portfolio, leading work in demand-led employment models, and developing new business opportunities, including in social investment. Claire previously worked for Quiller Consultants, a London based strategic communications consultancy. She holds an MSc in International and European Politics from Edinburgh University.
Claire is a trustee for Social Value UK a national network for social value and impact management. Social Value UK's aim is to reduce environmental degradation and inequality and increase wellbeing for all. She is also Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees at Lloyd Park Children’s Charity.
