Jo leads the Communications Team at Big Society Capital, and is also Chair of Good Finance, a user-led digital project which she helped to set up to enable more charities and social enterprises to understand social investment.
She is an expert in social sector strategy and communications. Prior to joining Big Society Capital, Jo worked as a communications consultant to social sector organisations, providing both strategic advice and practical support. Before being invited to set up the new agency, Jo worked as a Senior Consultant at Champollion, leading PR and stakeholder communications campaigns for charities.
Jo began her career as a fundraiser, working first with the British Red Cross, and then for five years with The Irene Taylor Trust 'Music in Prisons' as Director of Strategy & Funding. She is a Trustee of Pro Bono Economics and was Chair of Relate London SE until 2014.
