James is currently part of the team looking at ways social investment can play a role within both the criminal justice sector, and leading our work on families, friends and relationships.
He also oversees a broad portfolio, including a number of our regional investments, community-based approaches, social impact bonds and social banks.
Before joining Big Society Capital James spent three years as a Management Consultant at Accenture and has also worked for a church and Christian social justice charity in central London.
One of the first Social Impact Bonds (SIB) to tackle youth unemployment and generate a return to investors has been delivered by the pioneering London-based youth charity ThinkForward.
A £9m social investment loan fund is now open for business and actively seeking applications from social enterprises in the North East of England.
